After cutting his right forearm in an accident at the ATP event in Bangkok, Thailand, Sam will now miss the next four to six weeks of the ATP season to rest and rehab his arm. Sam, who was seeded third at the Bangkok event, suffered the injury after practicing for the Thailand Open when he sat on a glass table to tie his shoes and fell through it, requiring emergency surgery.
Sam will head back home to LA on Wednesday from Bankok where he will work with his doctors on healing his arm as soon as possible to get back in the swing of things. Make sure and stay tuned for more updates on Sam.
